Concert Series – Jazz by the River
Following the success of Proms by the River in 2022, the Lismore Symphony Orchestra are excited to announce Jazz by the River in 2023. Something new, something different, and certainly not something to miss out on.
We are very fortunate to be collaborating with the wonderful John Morrison and Jacki Cooper, as well as a handful of other talented jazz musicians and of course our fabulous conductor Sonya Lopes. Throw us all together and you’ve got one hell of a jazz orchestra!
Join us for two swingin’ shows at the Ballina RSL, where you can channel your inner Gatsby and travel back to the 1920s. Jazz classics will be given the symphony orchestra treatment, elevating them to new levels of enjoyment that you’ve never witnessed before!
Performance highlights include An American in Paris, Moon River, My Funny Valentine, Caravan and many, many more. Throw on those dancing shoes, find your sparkliest headband, and joins us on July 22nd and 23rd for two marvellous shows of Jazz by the River.
